MSA serial 1C6883 year of build?

This is a MSA "The Universal" Supersustain II model, built by Bud Carter. I guess this was mid 70's. Can anyone confirm of correct this?

Don't know exactly, but I'd guess it to be later, more like an early 1980's model.
Maybe around 1982 or '83?

My 1C6924 has a birthday of June 1980, 41 builds after yours. I don't know how many steels MSA was building in a year, but I'll bet yours is late 1979 or early 1980.

If you go to MSA's Web Site and got to contacts.
E-mail them the SN, They are very good at sending you its Birthday. If someone at MSA, Sees this post, They may post the guitars birthday here on this subject post.

Actually it was me, not Donny. I have an email from Reese saying that my 1C6924 was born June 27, 1980, along with a backstory on the original order. Could it be that the build numbers weren't always sequential, I wonder?
