My Dream Steel

Post by Brett Day »

If you wonder what my dream steel is, it's one of the new Sho-Bud Mavericks-not the ones from the seventies, but one of the new generation Mavericks. I've heard so many great things about the new generation Sho-Bud Mavericks and would love to try one out! I've seen a video or two of them being played and now I'd like to try one out myself.

I had a 6-string briefly as I was getting back into pedal steel after a 6-year absence...before that, and now, I play Williams 10-strings...

that Maverick had the most amazing tone...I guess it was the pull-release parts of the changer?

Anyway, it was noticeably "present" and bloomed nicely....
