No webcam and no real audio could show such a perfect combination as Al Brisco and the new Carter!
YOU MUST SEE IT LIVE!
See you at the STEELDAYS 2000 !!!

Al just finished his first set; great sound, and great guitar. Look at that sparkle!
Check it out on the Steeldays thread for the link. By the way, it helps to have a very fast modem or high-speed line but it's not necessary.

Off to hear Johan himself. Fun guy!

What a fantastic player, you are Mr.Al Brisco, and a very fine sound on that Carter steel. You really bring back the real country sound, together with a perfect back-up band. This was country-music at his best !!We all could see this at the convention, in Angeren the Netherlands, a very well organised event .Thanks Johan Jansen .

Oh, and by the way, Steve Pittico is one heckuva fine guitarist. Incredible chops and plays smart as the dickens. His twin stuff with Al was really cool.

I totally agree! Al Brisco and Steve Pittico are great players. The South Mountain band features some of Canada's best musicians. It was a pleasure inviting these guys to play on the Northern Steel CD. Regards Bob

Well, this one's for Jim Cohen!
Jim, for me you and Nils Tuxen were the best at Steeldays 2000 in Angeren, The Netherlands. I really liked your swing music and you played it so relaxed, you'd almost think it's easy. You told me you played with a big band somewhere up in the North of the USofA. I am now trying to get more into playing and understanding the B6th tuning and it's great fun. It will take some time but this music worth it. I am playing on a Zumsteel S-12 Universal and hope to be able to play some jazzy, bluesy nightclub music later. Thanks again, Jim, you were great that weekend!
