great idea

All the best to you Gary for trying to get a group together and sing praises to the lord. It is absolutely wonderful idea that you have. Maybe if you get it going, Zane King can take a ride up on his motorcycle with his steel strapped on his back and play at one of your meetings. How cool would that be. Zane is fantastic picker and singer. He is a good guy to have on your side.

Up here in Maine(edge of the earth) there are lots of churches going to contemporary christian music. I'm not sure how well the steel fits in. I love the music but haven't tried to play it yet. Does anyone play that contemporary stuff?

I don't know what I could do to help you Gary but I'm with you in spirit

God bless you

Bob

:) Thanks , Robert . As for Zane i am a fan of his playing and singing . The response hasn't been as good as i thought it would be . It seems that everyone is to busy to dedicate their time to a good cause ! Maybe i had the wrong feeling about what some of the Gospel players were talking about ! We will see i suppose ! G.P.

Gary,
There is a "Gospel Steel Guitar Forum" on the internet and it has died out for lack of participation. It's a shame. :(

Gary,
Larry Fout was heading it up.
It was part of Yuku.com.
I think we need a dedicated "Gospel Steel" site and maybe it would go over better.
