LONG TIME CRAZY HEART STEEL PLAYER JACK FOX WAS CRITICALLY INJURED WHEN AN OIL HEATER WAS MISTAKENLY FILLED WITH GASOLINE. JACK SUSTAINED 3RD DEGREE BURNS OVER 42% OF HIS BODY. AS OF THIS POSTING, HE WAS STILL IN INTENSIVE CARE AND HAS HAD A VERY ROUGH TIME OF IT. HE CAN'T RECEIVE GIFTS OR CARDS AT THIS TIME.

CRAZY HEART AND FRIENDS WILL BE HOLDING A BENFIT FOR JACK AND HIS FAMILY TO ASSIST THEM WITH THEIR MOUNTING MEDICAL COSTS. YOU'RE ALL WELCOME TO ATTEND. I just heard about the benefit yesterday.
My band has agreed to appear.
But I only just learned through this thread that it was Jack Fox!
Jack was very helpful in providing me with guidance and information (like turning me on to the Steel Guitar World Magazine) as I was first starting to dive into getting an instrument and learning to play.
I hope that with our efforts, and the lord, that he will be able to have comfort and recovery.
I encourage everyone in the area to try to come out to this event.

I think that they're aware of it. We'll probably go to the station and do one of their live morning broadcasts a week or so before the benefit. Thanks for reminding me.

Your band will be there right? Crazy Heart will be there. The host band. That name escapes me at this time. Go over to the Crazy Heart page and click on "NEWS". Just trying to keep this important event somewhere near the top. Show kicks off at 6:30-??? Come on out and show your support for Jack and his family. It will be a great time for a great cause. $10.00 at the door. All proceeds go to Jack and his family. There are 3 bands on the playlist so far. Two of which feature steel guitar players. Hope to meet some of the Forumites there.
